The way we work
The foundation of our approach is to build self-esteem and self-confidence. Young people and families often define themselves in negative terms – and often this is how others describe them too. We start by finding the potential, what might be possible and what motivates and drives the change process. We then identify actions that build self-belief, where achievement (even small steps) drives a positive mind set. We help young people and those that live and work with them to believe that they can be ambitious and can achieve success. We guide them on their journey, developing new skills and qualifications and reinforcing their change. We resolutely focus on the positives, embedding new patterns of behavior.

What you said:
“Inspire South West has done some excellent work with young people referred by the Devon Youth Offending Service, putting in high quality one-to-one training which has enabled young people to obtain qualifications and to make real progress in terms of confidence and employ ability. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending Lyn and her staff.”

“I really couldn’t believe it when his First Aid Qualification arrived; it’s the first thing he’s ever passed in his life and we are all so proud and happy”

The impact of Inspire South West’s work has been measurable with a demonstrable reduction in crime and antisocial behaviour. Most importantly it has brought about an improvement in the health and wellbeing of the families and individuals concerned, reducing the likelihood of themselves and others being subject of harm”.
